Syllabic Edge is an independent product-listing editing and diagnostic service operating under the Syllabic Edge trade name. This policy explains the information we may receive when you contact us or submit material for service.
Information you provide
We may receive your name, email address, business information, product-listing URLs, listing copy, product specifications, source files, and project instructions that you choose to send us.
How we use it
We use submitted information to answer inquiries, provide quotes, perform listing diagnostics and editing, deliver completed work, maintain project records, prevent abuse, and improve the service.
Client content
Client listings and source files are treated as confidential project material. We do not publish client work as a case study, testimonial, or public before/after example without permission.
Retention
We retain project information only as reasonably necessary for service delivery, revisions, recordkeeping, security, and legal obligations. A more specific automated deletion schedule will be published when the production storage system is implemented.
Third parties
We may use infrastructure and service providers necessary to operate the website, email, analytics, payment, and production workflow. We do not sell client project data.
AI-assisted tooling
Syllabic Edge may use assisted software and AI systems for parsing, diagnostics, comparison, and drafting support. Client-facing copy remains subject to human editorial review.
Syllabic Edge Listing Scanner browser extension
The Syllabic Edge Listing Scanner handles website content from the product page that a user deliberately chooses to scan. Website content may include a product title, feature bullets or highlights, description, specifications, item details, and other buyer-facing product information.
The current extension performs extraction and scoring locally in the user's browser. The extension does not send scanned listing content to Syllabic Edge servers, does not collect browsing history, and does not collect seller passwords, authentication cookies, payment information, or marketplace login credentials.
Extension permissions
The extension uses Chrome's activeTab permission to receive temporary access only to the tab the user deliberately activates the extension on. It uses the scripting permission to run the packaged product-listing extraction function on that active tab.
The extension also requests narrowly scoped access to https://itm.ebaydesc.com/*. eBay can host a seller's product description in a separate frame on that domain. This permission is used only to read that description when the user scans the associated eBay listing.
Remote code
The extension does not download or execute remote JavaScript, WebAssembly, or other executable code. The extension's executable logic and scoring methodology are packaged with the extension.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
Syllabic Edge uses information handled by the browser extension only to provide or improve the extension's single purpose: analyzing the product listing selected by the user. We do not sell extension user data, use it for personalized advertising, or transfer it to data brokers.
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
