Frequently asked questions

Simple answers before we start.

Delivery, files, revisions, confidentiality, AI-assisted tooling, brand voice and large-catalog workflow — defined before the work starts.

Pricing

Launch pricing is intentionally simple and defined by scope.

What does Syllabic Edge cost?

Listing Engineering: $100 per listing.

Listing Batch: $450 for up to 5 listings.

Catalog Engineering: custom quote based on catalog size and complexity.

Delivery & volume

Turnaround depends on package size, catalog complexity and requested delivery speed.

How long does it take?

Listing Engineering: target delivery within 48 hours for a standard single-listing project.

Listing Batch: target delivery within 72 hours for packages of up to 5 listings.

Catalog Engineering: large catalogs are scoped against volume and complexity. A typical full audit and rewrite is planned in the 5–10 business-day range, with the committed delivery date stated in the quote.

Can I get it faster?

Yes. When capacity allows, 24-hour turnaround can be requested for Listing Engineering and Listing Batch at a 50% rush fee. Rush acceptance is confirmed before payment or project start.

Can you edit a large catalog?

Bulk Catalog Audit timelines scale with listing count, product complexity and the amount of duplicated or near-duplicated content. We confirm the delivery date in the quote.

Near-identical listings can be deduplicated into a shared language system first, then adapted only where the product facts genuinely differ. That keeps a 200-SKU catalog from becoming 200 separate reinventions of the same sentence.

Files & output

We design the workflow around the seller's existing catalog format whenever practical.

What can I send you?

For service work, you can submit a live product URL, plain text, CSV, XLSX, JSON, or a marketplace/platform export such as Amazon, eBay, Shopify or WooCommerce data.

Current public scanner: the live website prototype analyzes listing copy pasted into the scanner. Direct URL ingestion is part of the production scanner roadmap; we do not claim that the browser demo already performs it.
How will I receive the final copy?

We return optimized copy in a practical working format agreed at intake. For structured catalog projects, the objective is to preserve the submitted schema or provide a clean import-ready equivalent whenever possible.

Your delivery package also includes before/after diagnostic results and a change summary so the rewrite is auditable rather than mysterious.

Do you need access to my seller account?

Not by default. The standard workflow keeps marketplace credentials out of the process: we analyze and return the finished copy, and the seller retains control of publication.

Platform-connected workflows can be evaluated separately where a secure, supported integration makes operational sense.

Editorial process

Assisted analysis is allowed. Unreviewed output is not.

Do you use AI?

Yes — as assisted tooling for parsing, pattern detection, scoring, comparison and draft analysis.

A human editor reviews, rewrites and signs off on client-facing copy. No raw model output is treated as a finished client deliverable.

The objective is not to pretend software does not exist. The objective is to use automation where machines are useful and human judgment where language requires judgment.
How many revisions are included?

Listing Engineering: 1 revision cycle.

Listing Batch: 2 revision cycles.

Catalog Engineering: revision terms are defined in the catalog agreement. The target is effectively unlimited corrections within the agreed optimization cycle, while preventing scope expansion from becoming a completely new catalog project.

Can you match our brand style?

Yes. For ongoing work, Syllabic Edge can build a reusable brand language guide: preferred terminology, banned phrases, tone rules, capitalization, product naming conventions, units, claims language and category-specific wording.

The goal is simple: fifty listings should sound like one controlled brand, not fifty unrelated freelancers.

Will you invent product facts?

No. Syllabic Edge can make existing facts clearer, stronger and easier to compare. It does not invent dimensions, certifications, materials, performance numbers, warranties or unsupported benefits.

A weak product cannot be engineered into a better physical product with language. A legitimate product can absolutely be prevented from looking cheap because of weak language.

Confidentiality & data handling

Private client work stays private unless the client explicitly says otherwise.

Is my data confidential?

Yes. Client source material is treated as confidential project information. We do not publish a client's listing, diagnostic, rewrite, performance data or before/after example as a case study without permission.

NDAs can be executed for confidential projects and are expected to be routine for Enterprise/catalog work.

Retention policy: before launch, Syllabic Edge will publish a specific file-retention and deletion schedule. We should not promise automatic purge timing until the production storage system actually enforces it.
Will you use my listing as a public example?

Not without explicit consent. Public examples should either be fictional demonstrations or client work used with written permission.

Scanner & diagnostic score

The scanner measures the listing's presentation system — not the physical quality of the product.

What does the Syllabic Edge score measure?

The score is a proprietary presentation assessment built from factors such as title clarity, grammar and mechanics, readability, feature specificity, consistency, scannability, keyword discipline and claim discipline.

The intelligence layer can also flag missing specification signals, generic-copy risk, category clues and buyer questions the listing may leave unanswered.

Is the score an Amazon, eBay, Walmart, or Shopify score?

No. It is a Syllabic Edge diagnostic. It is not issued, endorsed or calculated by a marketplace.

Does a higher score guarantee more sales?

No. Price, reviews, advertising, ranking, competition, product quality, shipping and many other factors affect marketplace performance.

What we can measure is the language system itself: how much presentation friction exists before optimization, which deficiencies were repaired, and how the diagnostic score changes afterward.

Why pay for this instead of using AI myself?

Because generating words is not the difficult part. The difficult part is determining which information belongs in the listing, what is missing, what is wasting space, what sounds untrustworthy, what contradicts the brand, and what can be said without inventing facts.

Syllabic Edge is positioned as the diagnostic and engineering layer around the language — not a button that produces another paragraph.
